1. Who We Are

TSME Events is operated by Technology Strategies Middle East LLC (“TSME”, “we”, “us”), licensed by the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development under Commercial License No. CN-1040544, and located at Hashimi Tower, Apartment No. 802, 126 Al Ruwaysi Street, Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, P.O. Box 105653. We organize professional training, certification programs, and business events, including programs delivered in partnership with APQC. 2. Scope

This policy explains how we collect and use personal data when you register for, express interest in, or attend a TSME event, including through LinkedIn Events pages, LinkedIn Lead Gen Forms, LinkedIn sponsored content, and our website, tsmeevents.com.

Our events are intended for professionals aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

3. Data We Collect

When you register through LinkedIn, LinkedIn may share with us the information you choose to submit. This can include your full name, email address, phone number, job title, company name, industry, seniority, country and city, and LinkedIn profile URL.

We may also collect:

• Your answers to custom questions in the registration form (for example, your interest in a specific program or your preferred session)

• Your attendance status and participation in the event

• Your communication preferences and consent choices

We do not ask for sensitive data such as national ID numbers, health information, or financial account details through registration forms, and we ask you not to submit it.

4. How We Collect It

We receive data directly from you when you complete a LinkedIn registration or Lead Gen Form, and from LinkedIn when you register for or indicate attendance at a LinkedIn Event we host. We also collect limited usage data automatically when you visit our website (see Section 12). LinkedIn’s own handling of your data is governed by the LinkedIn Privacy Policy, which we encourage you to review.

5. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

• Register you and confirm your place at the event

• Send event logistics such as agendas, venue details, joining links, and reminders

• Deliver certificates, training materials, and post-event resources

• Respond to your inquiries about our programs

• Improve our events and website through attendance analysis, feedback, and website analytics

• Send you information about upcoming TSME events, training programs, and related solutions, only where you have agreed to receive it

6. Legal Basis

We process your data on the basis of:

• Performance of your registration: to deliver the event or program you signed up for

• Consent: for marketing communications, which we ask for separately (for example, through an optional checkbox on the registration form)

• Legitimate interest: to run, secure, and improve our professional events and website

You can withdraw your consent at any time without affecting your event registration.

7. Sharing Your Data

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

• Training and certification partners (such as APQC), where needed to deliver a program or issue a certificate

• Service providers who help us run our events and website, such as venues, registration platforms, email and CRM tools, virtual event platforms, and analytics providers, all bound by confidentiality obligations

• Our branches and local partners, including our Dubai branch and our partners in the countries where events take place (such as Jordan), only to administer the event you registered for or, where you have consented, to invite you to related professional events

• Authorities, where required by law

8. International Transfers

Some of our service providers and partners, including Google and LinkedIn, may store or process data outside the United Arab Emirates. When this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your data receives a level of protection consistent with applicable law.

9. Data Retention

We keep registration data for as long as needed to run the event and follow up with you, and for up to 24 months afterward for reporting and future event invitations, unless you ask us to delete it sooner or a longer period is required by law. Certification records may be kept longer where needed to verify credentials.

10. Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request:

• Access to the personal data we hold about you

• Correction of inaccurate data

• Deletion of your data

• Withdrawal of your consent at any time

• Objection to, or restriction of, certain processing

11. Marketing Communications

To stop receiving such marketing and awareness material reply “Opt Out” to any of our messages, or contact us directly. Opting out of marketing will not affect essential messages about an event you have registered for.

12. Cookies and Website Analytics

Our website, tsmeevents.com, uses cookies and similar technologies, including Google Analytics, to understand how visitors use the site and to improve our content and event campaigns. Google Analytics collects information such as pages visited, time spent on the site, device and browser type, and general location. Google’s handling of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

13. Data Security

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures, including access controls and secure storage, to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.

14. Applicable Law

This policy is governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, including Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data. Where participants are located in other jurisdictions, we will respect the additional rights granted under their local data protection laws, including Jordan’s Personal Data Protection Law No. 24 of 2023, the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law, and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
